Recently, I had a project where a group wanted to show an aging report using SharePoint’s search capabilities. The easiest way to accomplish this is the use of refiners, but I struggled with this quite a bit until I figured out that the left argument of the custom value must ALWAYS be less than the right argument. Send Email using PowerShell

While this isn’t directly related to SharePoint, there may be some times that you need to run a long running operation with PowerShell and would like to receive an email notification when the operation is completed. Here is a quick function you can place into most any script and then call to send notifications.
